SBOUC 2011 Over And Out
I did not do much blogging at the conference this year, primarily because I was always doing something! I had two presentations on Monday, followed by an interview session with ASUG News on Tuesday morning, followed by my participation in the Leadership 2.0 session Tuesday afternoon, the BI 4.0 launch celebration Tuesday night, a usability study for an interesting new potential product this morning, and my flight home. 😯 Over the next few days I will attempt to turn my notes taking at the various sessions into blog posts, as well as upload my two sessions for download both here and on the conference web site.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank each and every one of you that took the time to come up to me at the conference and say how much you appreciated either BOB or my blog. As long as I have been doing this sort of stuff (on BOB we will be celebrating our 10-year anniversary next year) hearing from people never ever gets old. Thank you for taking the time to let me know that you have been helped in some fashion.
Hi Dave, take a deep breathe. Mitra was wondering how would you get time to do all the stuffs, all the days! Did Michael convey my ‘Hi’ to you? 🙂 By the way, I watched your Interview session live on Tuesday!
I am jealous, I never got to go to a conference..
So how are the various products viewed in general by the participants: In particular Webi versus Crystal and Explorer?
Any news about Apple Apps (by SAP) for Xcelsius or improvements for Webi on iPad?
They were really pushing Explorer quite a bit at the conference, especially Exploration Views.
Most of the folks I talked to about MOBI were more excited about what’s coming next year than what’s out right now.
Dave, Will you be posting your ‘Universe Essentials’ presentation on this site or ASUG website?
The “Universe Essentials” presentation has already been uploaded to the ASUG site; I’m not sure where they’re posting them for download. My other session has not yet been uploaded, but I’ll be taking care of that shortly. Both will be here soon as well.
I have been downloading them from http://www.asugonline.com, but I don’t see your presentation. Maybe I am missing something. I will keep looking.
Dave, I was not able to find your “Universe Essentials” presentation on the ASUG website. Can you please post the link to it on your blog?
Coming up, thanks for the reminder.
